I still haven’t hung my Yitso-Hima Wind-Horse Woodblock painting. Very carefully and safely packed, it arrived almost a week ago, much faster than I expected given the fact that I opted for a free standard shipping which I presume normally takes longer as I live in Germany, and I keep looking at the print every day, trying to think of a perfect wall or place. Printed from a century old woodblock and with traditional red ink, the print is beyond beautiful and a wooden black-walnut frame complements it nicely. The frame comes with complementing picture hooks that require no drilling and a wooden dowel for the frame to stand if you prefer so. The package included a complimentary card and a dragon protective amulet which I did not expect of course and at first almost missed the little paper envelope parcel. Thank you! 💓I am so happy to have a tiny part of Tibet at home.

When the Wind Carries Wishes
Across the Tibetan Plateau, five-colored Wind Horse flags move gently with the wind, bringing color and meaning to mountains and rivers.
For generations, Tibetan people have expressed their wishes through these flags - using the land as their canvas, and hope as their message. They are not only part of the landscape, but also a lasting expression of people's connection with nature.
A Tradition Across Centuries
Prayer flags of the Wind Horse, in Tibetan རླུང་རྟ་, originate from ancient Bön rituals. On the flags, the horse raises its head, carrying the wish-fulfilling jewel, moving with the wind. At the four corners, the sacred animals guard the four directions. At the center, the “horse” stands as a nexus and passage, linking heaven and earth, gathering fortune, bringing harmony to all things.
