We select natural wool from Northern Tibet
and insist on full handcraftsmanship,
creating a soft, skin-friendly texture.
The square design is versatile, suitable for
chairs, tatami mats, bay windows, meditation corners, and more.
"Sayol" comes from the Tibetan ས་ཡོལ།.
"Sa" means earth, and "Yol" means curtain.
Together, "Sayol" signifies a "Curtain of the Earth."
Tibetan carpets began on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau over 5,000 years ago.
Sayol carpets are born in Chindu County, Yushu, at the source of the Yangtze River.
They are woven thread by thread by herder women using wool from Northern Tibet.

- Avoid direct sunlight - it fades and weakens fibers.
- Keep dry and ventilated - no mold, no moths.
- Protect from oil and acids. If spilled, use a professional cleaner right away.
- Vacuum often - that’s the best cleaning.
- Never wipe with a wet towel. it shortens the rug’s life.
- Use neutral detergent or dry clean.
- For long‑term storage, seal it and add mothballs.
